The Cadillac Winter Warriors is a recreational snowmobile club focusing on family activities. Our membership is comprised of snowmobile enthusiasts from all over the Midwest with many members from Michigan along with members from Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. These members are singles, young families, middle aged couples, retirees and business owners. We love to snowmobile and we enjoy the company of our club members on snowmobile rides and other activities.
When we cannot be on the trails for snowmobile rides, we often enjoy other club events such as a “kick-off” to the season dinner in late October that often includes a hayride and members coming in costume. We also meet in December for our annual Christmas “get-together” potluck that is now being held at the Boon Groomer barn. We have scheduled rides during the months of December, January, February and March depending on snow conditions. These rides are posted on the website. Even if we cannot ride because of snow conditions, we often still meet for dinner at the location selected for the ride.
Our club is also involved in many philanthropic activities that include Thanksgiving baskets, a Christmas Party and train ride for children of needy families, donations of food to the local food pantry, and working with the American Legion to bring the Vietnam Wall to Cadillac just to name a few. Every year we set aside monies for these very worthwhile charitable events.
Other events our club members participate in include winter trail cookouts, picnic in the woods, North American Snow Festival (NASF) activities such as the Fun Run and the Kids Lake Races. Many of our members also participate annually in events sponsored by MSA (Michigan Snowmobile Association) such as the summer camp-out, Winter Ride In, and the Nelson’s Snow Show.
Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. during the months of September through April. This year our meetings will be held at Lakeside Charlies in Cadillac. April is the month we hold our annual meeting, set our budget for the next year and elect officers. We also hold informal get-togethers during the months of May, July and August that are usually held at a member’s home and are potluck picnics. We believe in having fun and we believe in enjoying riding our snowmobiles throughout the wonderful trails in Michigan.
Won’t you join us??
